Mountaineering is my biggest passion and I climb mountains as much as I can. At some point during my busy career as a foreign news correspondent, I fell in love with the mountains and even moved to Zermatt in the Swiss Alps to be close to the mountains. I climb extensively around the Alps and have climbed 41 out of 82 4000ers in the Alps.

I have summited Everest on 15 May 2025, which so far has been my hardest yet the most satisfying expedition. Everest was a life changing climb which has opened new doors for me in mountaineering.
