The Story Behind Our Name
The name Moggans comes from the old Scottish word for long, footless stockings, once worn by farmers and fishermen to protect their legs from the cold and wet. Our inspiration? Grandma Sue, the family knitter who first sparked our love for quality wool craftsmanship. Her legacy lives on in every pair we make — built to perform, built to last.

At the heart of Moggans is Merino wool — nature’s original performance fibre. Soft, breathable, and naturally thermoregulating, it keeps you cool when it’s warm and warm when it’s cold. It’s moisture-wicking, odour-resistant, and fully biodegradable, making it the perfect companion for running, hiking, skiing, cycling, golf, tennis, and everyday wear.
Our Merino wool is mulesing-free and sourced from trusted suppliers who share our commitment to animal welfare and sustainability.
