The Story Behind Our Name
The name Moggans comes from an old Scottish word for long, footless stockings, once worn by farmers and fishermen to protect their legs from the cold and wet.
Our inspiration comes from Grandma Sue — the family knitter who first sparked our love of quality wool craftsmanship. Her legacy lives on in every pair we make: thoughtfully designed, built to perform, and made to last.

At the heart of Moggans is Merino wool — nature’s original performance fibre.
Soft, breathable, and naturally thermoregulating, Merino keeps you cool when it’s warm and warm when it’s cold. It’s moisture-wicking, odour-resistant, and fully biodegradable, making it ideal for running, hiking, skiing, cycling, golf, tennis, and everyday wear.
All our Merino wool is mulesing-free and sourced from trusted suppliers who share our commitment to animal welfare and sustainability.
