Customers praised these merino wool hiking socks as "the best socks I have ever hiked in," highlighting exceptional comfort, warmth, and cushioning even on 15-mile treks. Many valued the sustainable, Scottish-made quality. However, some reported fit issues: one found them loose around toes, causing slipping, while others noted tight tops or excess toe padding.

just spent a week hiking around wales and cannot believe that after 5 days (😬) these socks still feel fresh and comfortable. No blisters, and will definitely be buying a few more pairs 😇

Graeme - Thanks taking the time to share you feedback having worn our Scottish made sock. Hope the hiking was amazing and there was no rain! Team Moggans

My new socks have been fab for long trekking. They feel so warm and comfortable. They really cushion my feet. I had unfortunately stepped on a small shard of glass and they actually made it feel fine when I walked. It was also so important to me that the wool was gathered with kindness to the sheep.

I purchased correct size of sock. These socks are not suitable for hiking. They do not hold shape and slip around inside boot which makes it uncomfortable. Extremely loose around toe area. Very disappointed.

Lovely soft socks to wear, well fitting, comfortable and warm. The only issue is the top of the sock being a wee bit tight but as I am wearing them with boots I am rolling the top if the socks over the top of my boots which I am sure will stretch the sock top a wee bit. I am sure this won’t be an issue for most for most wearers of this sock. Very happy with my purchase.

I got a pair of Stravaigers to see how I got on with them in winter & the Alps. Generally no problem but they have too much padding at the toes for me. As my feet are very wide at the toes I wish Moggans would make a version with just padding at the heel & not the toes, to free up some space for freaks like me!

Love the socks but they weren’t quite as high as they looked as if they might be, and I am a ladies size 5 and they were too big. But as I say, love the socks. I’ll buy another pair of your longer ones instead.

Stravaiger Merino Hiking Socks - Made in Scotland

I'm new to Moggan's socks and tried a couple of pairs of white one for summer use with white Merrill's. Being extremely pleased I tried a pair of Stravaigers as my usual socks are a bit short when wearing my higher legged Meindle winter boots. Total result, problem solved! That extra few inches stops all the rubbing above my ankles. I'll definitely be ordering more.

Stravaiger Merino Hiking Socks - Made in Scotland

I wore these socks for the first time last Sunday on a walk around Aberfoyle. Despite the rain, sleet, and snow! my feet were cosy warm, and, even walking 8.5 miles, quite, a bit on hard surfaces, I had no blisters! So all in all, very pleased with my purchases. Thank you Team Moggans, for the quality and excellent service
