Since 1969, NDSART has been dedicated to rescuing those in need across Dartmoor, Devon, and Cornwall, and their unwavering service continues to save lives today.
About NDSART: A Lifesaving Volunteer Organization
Based in Okehampton, Devon, NDSART is a volunteer-driven charity that has been at the forefront of search and rescue efforts for over 50 years. Comprising around 40 highly trained volunteers from diverse backgrounds, the team operates 24/7, 365 days a year, ready to respond to emergencies in all weather conditions.
What NDSART Does: A Mission to Save Lives
NDSART specializes in locating and assisting lost, missing, or injured individuals. Whether it’s mountain rescues, swift water operations, or search missions with trained dogs, the team’s expertise ensures a swift and effective response when it matters most.
Community Support and Funding
As a registered charity, NDSART relies on donations and fundraising efforts to cover its annual operating costs, which exceed £30,000. The team is incredibly grateful for the ongoing support from the community and sponsors, enabling them to continue their vital work.
